About the Author:
James B. Hoke grew up in the rolling hills of West Virginia. As a child, he spent his summers with his grandparents at a lakeside cabin in Maine, which became a place to spur his creativity and self-discovery. He served in the United States Marine Corps as a photojournalist and is an Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran. He has also been a winner of the Jon Nelson Scott Creative Writing Contest, and his first book-length publication, The Ark Brothers, made the short list in the 2014 Dante Rossetti Awards. In addition to writing, he still practices photography as a hobby and is working on developing his first album as a solo-pianist.
